The Life of David Gale
When we rent movies, we generally rent three at the time and from the last three, Mylène said she preferred that one. It’s a movie with Kevin Spacey. The story is about a guy who is accused to sexual crime and also killed a woman after. The guy has been sentenced to death. In his last week, he request a particular journalist to cover the story. Because of different events, the journalist realizes that the guy is not responsible maybe for the crime.
The special thing in the movie, which should have been a clue for the viewers about the special twist at the end in the movie, is the fact that the guy is a kind of activist against the death sentence in general. On the IMDB site, the plot summary say this “A man against capital punishment is accused of murdering a fellow activist and is sent to death row” which perfectly the short story of that movie.
The end is very good. Some will probably say that they knew it was ending that way, but it was a special ending twist anyway and I liked it. I would give 8.1 / 10.
